Two Cities, One Idea

We’re Maria and Camilla, two friends from Milan brought together by a shared passion for ceramics. Our project was born from the desire to create personalized ceramics, each decorated with a central scene — inspired by the antique porcelain pieces we both collect — but with a more modern twist.
🎨 Maria handles the ceramics, hand-shaping and glazing each piece.
✏ Camilla creates the illustrations, bringing to life characters, objects, and scenes -both real and imaginary.

We live in two different cities — Maria in Barcelona and Camilla in Milan — and we design each piece remotely, as if we were working side by side in the same studio.
The actual making, however, takes place in our workshop in Barcelona, where everything comes to life and takes shape.

Every Object Tells a Story

Each Cam y Mar creation is designed to be unique and to tell a story — that’s why we work exclusively on commission. For smaller pieces, we can illustrate a character, an object, or a simple scene, while larger pieces allow for more complex illustrations — almost like a miniature fairytale.

Our idea is that every piece becomes a one-of-a-kind memory for the person who commissions it or receives it as a gift: it could represent a special moment, a meaningful place, a beloved pet, a journey...

The list could go on forever, because the only limit is your imagination.

What We Create

Our pieces fall into two categories: decorative and functional. In both cases, all the materials we use are non-toxic, and the glaze is free from cadmium and lead. This makes our ceramics safe for food contact. However, they are not suitable for dishwashers, ovens, or microwaves.

We also recommend avoiding contact with very hot food or liquids, as this could damage the glaze.
